Celebrated Elgin History Museum’s volunteers at the museum’s annual volunteer appreciation event We Love Volunteers.

Celebrated Gail Borden Public Library's 150th birthday at their 150th Anniversary Celebration. 

Featuring cupcakes, library swag, and performances, including a reading of Infinities to a packed library lobby. This poem was also displayed in the library, inviting visitors to read and reflect on the value of libraries.

Celebrated Elgin’s 2nd Pride Parade with a poem about rainbows, performed at a very rainy Elgin Pride Fest.

Celebrated the Renaissance Family Faire at Gail Borden Public Library’s Rakow Branch. Performing poetry in knightly attire was terrifically fun.

Celebrated Poetry Fest by volunteering as a poetry slam judge, introducing visiting author Diego Báez, and performing the commemorative poem Ink.

Celebrated Thanksgiving in an interfaith celebration facilitated by the Coalition of Elgin Religious Leaders. Performed Elgin: City of Light, a poem inspired by Elgin's diverse faith communities.
